Every time I use it and save, it changes ALL my custom character portraits to DefaultEnemy.png. Then, in game, they all get set to Ranger1.png (the black guy).
Even when I set the portraits again in the editor, and save, when I reload the editor they are all back to DefaultEnemy. Load the save in the game, and they are all Ranger1.
All four characters get stuck with this one single portrait. I've tried this several time and it happens every time. The editor needs to remember the custom portrait files.
I'm sorry you are having this issue ClashFan. I loaded up my save game and purposely changed all my rangers to the DefaultEnemy.png and then loaded up the game and they all had that same picture and then I went back and edited the pictures to their regular ones then loaded the game and they were changed back to what they were supposed to be. So I'm not seeing this issue you are having. If I had some more information, maybe I can figure this out. Are you running on Windows? What version? Did you install to the default location or did you change anything like that? Installed on D: maybe? Just guessing here so let me know. Maybe you need to run my editor "as Administrator" ? Sometimes downloaded files need some help, right-click on the jar file and select Properties and on the General Tab at the bottom look for and "Unblock" button with a security message "This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer." Click the Unblock button and then the OK button if this is the case. This will show directly under the Read-only and Hidden check boxes and the Advanced... button if this is your issue.
Thanks! I've got Win7 64 bit. I installed the Wasteland demo to the default location on my C drive.
I'll try the unblock idea and see if that helps!
EDIT: Okay, just tried again and the same deal. The editor reverts back to DefaultEnemy every time I save. When I load the save in the game, I get the Ranger1 guy, every time. I've got the editor program on my desktop. Should I try putting that somewhere else?
My custom portraits are in the proper, default location. The editor does see them, as I can select each for my 4 characters and see the picture. It just loses them when I save and then load the save either with the editor or in-game.
EDIT: Okay... could it have something to do with the fact that my custom portraits are .jpg files rather than .png? The game recognizes them just fine, though.
EDIT: Nope, changed them to png, and that didnt' help, either. Sigh.
