The synth idea is interesting, but can't you usually identify a synth from a human? Maybe a somewhat evolved form of synth.

It's always hard to tell to know if this was a bit of a failure on the part of the writers to deliver a a logical story arc, or they were fully in control and intending something deeper. Maybe DLC will bear this out over time.

I suppose there was Max, in Wasteland 1, a robot whose employer (Faran Brygo) didn't seem to know was a robot, though Charmaine did. I'd think we'd have seen such robots in Wasteland 2 if Cochise knew how to make them, though.

Juris wrote: October 8th, 2020, 11:42 am I like this take. There's definitely in-game hints about it (her facial scars from the helicopter crash in W2). However, PTSD doesn't make you dumb. Working with IronClad Cordite makes no sense for her character at all, especially when you can just wipe out the gangs at Yuma instead of have IC take them over and send a horde of slaver-rapists to Kansas. The scar collectors are bad news. Ironically, Angela says tell IC not to bring his gang to Colorado Springs because we don't want a bunch of rapists in the city. Okay Angie.

Oh, and her rebellion kills half the Rangers at HQ including Woodson's brother Rook and La Loca if you join her - so pretty much everyone you rescued in Aspen except Pizepi.

It just seems like the GoT finale - rushed. As stated in another thread Angie goes full Daenerys.
FYKC wrote: September 27th, 2020, 8:12 am I posted this in another thread but it fits here too.

My take on Angela is that she is probably suffering from extreme PTSD now. At least that's how I rationalise her actions in Wasteland 3.

Oh yeah, at the end of the day, Angela's whole arc feels undercooked (honestly everything after the Bizarre feels kinda lean). This is just my best attempt at trying to piece together what we've been given.

My problem with Angie, even if you help her, you can't tell her to escort the suppliess to Arizona which for me is a bit silly. On the other hand, she is a hypocrite and an anarchist. She says no compromise, but she wants u help IC and to send the gang to Kansas, does it still count "no compromise!"? i dont think so... bruh. I read what people wrote, I think Angie may be a synth that cannot be distinguished between a machine and a human. Something like in fallout 4. Well, i'm glad i didnt side her in my first playtrough (fully blind) because I had a bad feeling about Arizona and on the other I was afraid Saul would betray me but he didnt and he was honest about deal in the end.

About the Patriarch. I agree, he is not an angel, he did bad things but someone already wrote what if he did not do business with a gangs? Colorado would be gone a long time ago. Killing him for whom he has no substitute is asking for chaos. In the post-apocalypse world, anarchy is worst. Sometimes, dictator is a way. :|

Edit #2: You don't have to kill the Pats kids. You can take Ironclad to Yuma.

Edit:

Angie's 'plan' isn't complete, but there is an optimal 'November reigns' ending that turns out really well for CO and AZ. I think this is probably the optimal ending.

You need to get 'loved' by the Marshalls and talk to Daisy about a transfer of power. Daisy tells you to kill all of the Pats kids so I did that - which is the same thing Angie wants. I sided with the Gippers (loved), and was 'loved' by the 100 families. Then after you kill Liberty Angie talks about a peaceful transfer of power. There's no slaughter at Ranger HQ and everyone seems okay except Cordite (I didn't take him to Yuma and slaughtered the gangs). Then the Patriarch steps down and you send full supplies to AZ. So the Rangers take peaceful control of CO and send full supplies to AZ and save AZ. Of course Angie's plan is just to overthrow the Patriarch - you have to do the diplomacy. So in a way she's right, she just doesn't get the nuances. All the NPCs get happy endings.
