Port of Wasteland 2 to mobile
Was wondering if there were any plans to port wasteland 2 to any mobile platforms (android, ios, tablets, etc)?

Might be a little big for mobile without being massively cut back. It's, what? 20 or 30 gigs?
Personally, I'm waiting for a mobile (or 3DS) version of Wasteland 1. I keep bugging Brian about it on Twitter, but I think he just ignores me.

Well wasteland 2 IS coming to Switch, so seeing the first one on 3ds would be pretty cool.

How is a 2014 game even going to be ported on mobile platforms? The only way to do so would be to design a whole new game, patterned after WL2, but being completely different in its appearance and gameplay.
Now, seeing a mobile/portable console port of WL1 would be quite fun...

Very easily, seeing as how most phones these days are 64gb models, many of which also support MicroSD card storage.Flanker_27 wrote: ↑August 17th, 2018, 10:17 amHow is a 2014 game even going to be ported on mobile platforms? I've been itching for a port of this game since playing the re-made versions of the Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Shadowrun android versions and remember the tons of fun I had with Wasteland 2. Why not be able to take it on the go with a tablet or smartphone??!

We have no current plans to bring Wasteland 2 to mobile, but it's certainly a cool idea.

Yes! The Wasteland 2 Mobile sounds great. It will be nice to play on my tablet. Balfour's Gate EE series, Icewind Dale EE, Planescape Torment EE, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and even Fallout on DOSBox emulator are really good and fully playable. I love them all. So I'm looking forward for Wasteland 2 Mobile!

Re: Port of Wasteland 2 to mobile - Brian Fargo please read someday ;)
Maybe Brian will read this thread and maybe expand on what the challenges are for a mobile ports of Wasteland 2 and Tides of Numenera.
If I had to guess the number one issue is cost and can they get any return on a mobile version. Second is probably the difficulty in making the port.
If you look at the games most like Wasteland 2 on IOS and Android (like Baldur's Gate) one HUGE problem is that it's really REALLY hard to play these types of games on anything smaller than a decent sized tablet. I've TRIED playing Baldur's gate for IOS on the iphone and it's near impossible given the screen size. It used to be that tablets really would choke on big graphical games but not anymore. The current Ipad would have no problem doing Wasteland 2 Style games.
Personally I'd LOVE and REALLY want to play Wasteland 2/3 and Numenara on my Ipad as most of my free time is commuting but I've not heard any official stance on porting to Android and IOS tablets.
