No news, but it looks like Becky's rounding up some beta testers, so it may be soonish?
Maybe... March?

Really diggin' the screenshot above. If the monster art has that same level of polish, the re-master will just make my year.
Have many fond memories of the C64 and the Amiga versions.
Also makes total sense that TwilightSparkle is a Paladin.

Hi Guys,
i am very excited about the remastered Version of the Game.
I played the emulated now and get a really good Party to handle Tarjan. Will there be a chance to import my Savegame into the remastered Version? Would be sooo nice.
Greetings from good olde Germany

Supposedly, we will be able to import. Don't know if that functionality is going to survive to release.

Is there a chance to import the Chars from the DosBox Version to the Remastered Version?

I believe Becky was saying that was an intended feature. I don't know if that's still coming or if it ended up on the chopping block.

I'm looking forward to the trilogy, as I've been told I should try playing the classics
I really want to wait for that minimap. However... it seems there are a number of fan fixes for the trilogy. So I guess my question is, is bug hunting on Becky's priority list at all (apart from showstoppers)?

I assume she's bugfixing along the way.
And the added automap in 1 is pretty serviceable.

Re: Who is ready for Bard's Tale Remastered???
BTW, MOST Of the important fanfixes for, eg. the dos versions of the games (no dragon breathing, no traps working, etc), are for problems nott present in the IIgs version already, so *probably* those sorts of problems were fixed before the project started. Of course, new code will result in new bugs, so we have that to look forward to
It also lacks the targetting overflow bugs in the latter half of Bard's Tale 2.
I'm not aware of any significant bugs in Bard's Tale 3. Frankly I think many fewer players care about it in detail. It's such a slog! I found some logic errors in one or two puzzles by doing things out of order though.
----------
For Bard's Tale 3 though, not sure what the base will be. Perhaps The Burger has the IIgs version in mothballs somewhere without all the nasty DOS & Amiga bugs. My problem with the Dos & Amiga versions is the graphics just don't have much character as compared to the 8bit versions, which for their hardware have truly excellent graphics.

It does take skill to illustrate with impressive results using a reduced palette.
