It's time for longer phpBB sessions

Post by nmr » February 7th, 2015, 7:36 pm

What the eff.

I just spent 15 minutes typing up a nice bug report and this phpBB install decided that was 1 minute longer than my session should last and wiped it out. </3

No, it timed out about 15 minutes after I logged in.

What browser are you using?
I used to time out all the time back when I was using IE (to the point where I just automatically pressed Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C every time before hitting the "Submit" button). Can't say I recall having timed out after I changed to a different browser, though.

Edit: Of course, it could just be that I no longer write very long posts..

Could be a browser issue, a cookies issue, a random fluke, but the forums are set to keep you logged in for an hour.

like the guy above said, it should be a habit to ctrl+a then ctrl+c any long post you write, on any forum, before submitting. this has saved me a lot of grief over the years.
