PC Performance: Huge FPS Loss at Times

So 90% of the time when I play it runs fine I play at 3440 by 1440 the game runs at 120 FPS only occasionally mostly when I'm at HQ in the med bay area will the FPS tank down to 10 or 15 FPS then if I zoom the camera in or hit escape sometimes that will correct the issue it seems more pronounced after the last large patch anyone else with similar experiences?
