How to remove Vines?

Post by Mojito » October 1st, 2018, 1:08 am

Hey all

I am obviously new to the game. I play on the switch

How do you remove the Vines from the doors in the AG center?
I tryed Dynamite, Assault Rifles, Energy Weapon, Knive, tryed Lockpicking, brute force. Everything i could think of.

This is very frustrating so early in the game. I hope someone can help me out.

Thanks

Some of the vines can be removed with any attack, other vines will only be removed after the plant growth has been stopped.

Kind of figured it out in the meantime.
It is a bug in the switch version, where you can sometimes not select things properly.

But it still seems a bit strange. For the vines on the door Machetes or Knives do not work. Or at least i can not select the vines for the life of me...
But once the growth has stoped you can remove the big ones with any knive or machete...

The Switch version isn't perfect but I haven't experienced any trouble selecting things/targeting things, for the most part.

Sometimes it will automatically target the nearest thing to you, which might be a cow or goat you Animal Whisper'd to come along, instead of something else you're standing next to.

But you can always press Y to change whether you are targeting PCs, NPCs, or objects, and L/R to cycle between all valid targets.

So you press right trigger to bring up the attack menu, choose to attack, then press Y until you're highlighting objects, find the right object and press A.

Or you could just select exactly what you mean to... on the PC.

The Switch experience sounds like a chore. But no surprise there. Mouse and keyboard FTW!

PC Master race member here as well :-)
But it is kind of cool to hang out on the sofa and play with the switch... But yes, the bugs and especially the crashes do take away the fun. But that is clearly a Wasteland Issue and not a Switch issue!

Not a bug fellas, you have to stop the irrigation flow on both fields and then the plants become vulnerable. Even with brawling skill you can break the vines.

The fertilizer system is behind some huge bundles of vines in a corner of the area (north-east corner if the entrance is to the south).

I realized my mistake after sleeping on it. I had neglected to shut off the west field irrigation system.
