Will the last novel from W2 (Kickstarter Reward) by Chris Avellone ever get released?

HI everybody,

Name of this topic is the question itself:
There is still one novel missing form promised KS rewards, and for example, on GOG is still listed as "Coming soon", which should have been written by Chris Avellone.
I remember one interview a year or so ago, where he was approached and asked about it and he said it still being worked on (sic.).

So, will be the last novel released or not?

Because, honestly, I don´t expect it will, although I would read it, just like those other three.

Chris is still working on it, and we're still working with him on how best to deliver it.

Thanks for the answer,
I am positively surprised, I wouldn´t expect it is still being worked on.

Thank you, well, then it means I just have to be patient :)

G.R.R. Martin could have written it faster.

Perhaps even E.R.R. Eddison...

Why do the best fantasy writers have R.R. in their names?

Can you say whether a 2018 release is plausible/likely at this stage?

TeR.R.y Pratchett
Hey, you’re right :D

I’m not a big fan of Tolkien, and I see Martin as a fraud, is there any way I would like Eddison?

Eddison —according to Tolkien, was the finest writer of invented worlds, that he had read. I like Eddison's work; he has some interesting characters. His fantasy is not derivative of Tolkien's.

Try The Worm Ouroboros:

His last book, The Mezentian Gate, was published posthumously, from an incomplete manuscript... but one that had a very detailed outline; enough to explain the incomplete chapters.

Public domain novels? Nice!
I’ll give a try to your suggestion, thanks.

** It's worth mentioning that in his Ouroboros novel, the names Demon, Witch, Goblin, and the like are not actually fantasy races; they are just people. The names are of their country/region; Witch/Witchland, Demon/Demonland. Like Greek/Greece.

I think he said on reddit the reason that he wasn't done with the novel was due to still trying to find that last bag of cat litter.
