Stealth mass execution on xbox?

Post by RedIntifada » October 25th, 2015, 5:44 pm

When I played the original version on PC I remember I used to be able to get multiple characters shooting an enemy at once to initiate combat. That meant that the major enemy would be damaged significantly before we even started taking turns. Is that still possible and is it possible on the xbox as I haven't worked out how to do it yet.

It's still possible on the PC version.

It is; out of combat open up the combat menu (right trigger) and select attack. Select "target friendlies" to target non-hostiles to start a fight.

No. I want to target enemies. I just want to target them with the guns of ALL my characters not jut one. When I select attack it only seems to fire with the one gun.

No, I don't believe there's any way to execute a full-squad attack with the gamepad controls. I've looked for a way on both PS4 and PC and it's just not there.

It was. Not sure why the opening salvo has been removed.

PS4 user here - same experience, no way to unleash an initial volley of group fire.

I usually engage using the guy with the least initiative, to get the max from my combat queue.

I do this as a cheesy workaround:
1.create one character with good speed and evasion
2. Out of combat but when an enemy is spotted, get squad in position at some chokepoint nearby, but about one turn far enough away.
3. Take your scout and run him close enough to the spotted enemy and take a shot, use remaining AP to run.
4. COMBAT BEGINS!!! Enemies swarm your scout!
5. Get everyone in ambush position.
6. The scout now hustles back (runs away) to the trap.
7. As enemies follow, they get blasted by your crouched and waiting squad.
8. Scout spends a turn healing self.

It should be simpler to do this without the human sacrifice.
