Steam: Upgrade to Digital Deluxe?

Post by Tets » February 22nd, 2015, 4:45 am

I have been playing the standard edition for a while now and I love the game. I regret not buying the digital deluxe edition though. Is there a way to upgrade from the standard to the deluxe?

Unfortunately we don't have an upgrade option available at this time.

Please consider adding this option. With the free copies available through the Bard's Tale IV Kickstarter, I'm sure there'll be a lot of people looking for this option in the near future.

The GOTY eddition will be a separate entry in the steam library, that every owner of the (now called) classic edition will get access to. At this point i think we will not see any upgrade option for the classic edition any more. But there may be one for the GOTY, who knows

I was just going to ask this. You guys should definitely add the option to upgrade, I would do it.

There is an upgrade to Digital Deluxe on GOG so maybe there is an issue with Steam, such as additional fees, that prevents the developers from releasing it there. Some people might be interested but maybe not enough to make it viable.

Sorry you choose the wrong distributor

That being said, Deluxe does not add any in-game content, not even the Southwestern Folklore books AFAIK

Of course not. It adds the soundtracks (...and novellas?). Southwestern Folklore was the Kickstarter backer bonus.

Weren't the novellas also a Kickstarter bonus?
And soundtrack is included in Digital Classic, so really it's the Novellas only. Now they might be good, i don't have them, but my point was he wasn't missing any in-game bonus by not having the Deluxe edition.

So, does this mean we're never getting it? x3
I'm just asking because of the current Humble Bundle.
