Iwon Rheg - Puzzle Wheel Chest

Not the pair of chest that require finding the puzzle wheels. I'm looking for a solution to the room where with the lab notes scattered about, the chest behind the pulsing laser web, and the 4-wheel combination lock on the wall. I've finished all else in Iwon Rheg, but I can't figure this one out, or even find a puzzle clue to start thinking. I don't want to brute-force solve a 7^4 combination lock...

there is a note you find on one of the bodies in there with the clue to that puzzle.

I thought I found all the notes; no unexplained doors or corridors left. Is it the note about "6 twists of the soul" and whatnot? Or am I just not realizing that someone's note is the clue?

Same here, is it that one with 3 blood marks on it? Sadly those doesn't match the runes. Not even parts of them or upside down.. :/

Think it's the one, Thought it had to do with how many lines or edges it was in the runes, like 6 in the first, 3 in the second, 2 in the third and 5 in the last. But that does not seem to be it :/

I've done this puzzle yesterday and yes, it's that note

i.e, first wheel is turned 6 times, next one half as many and so on, just like the note says.

So the final rune doesn't matter, just how many times you turn the wheel? But, IIRC, the clue note has 5 instructions - and there are only 4 rune wheels! (I didn't go back and try last night; cracked open Pathfinder: Kingmaker for the first time.)

The first "instruction", something along the line of 4 crossed bones guard... or something like this is talking about the 4 x-es the wheels show initially, so only the 4 instructions after this are relevant
6, half that number, i.e. 3, 2 and, I think, 4 turns of the wheels
