Hi everyone,

This patch contains a few new small gameplay options, along with a variety of tweaks and bug fixes. Our biggest addition is a game manual for you to peruse. You can check out the patch notes below to find where that's at on your computer. Give it all a try and please let us know what you think!

-ADDED A MANUAL (on Steam Page and in SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/The Mage's Tale/Manual)
-Changed colliders to allow player to get closer to cauldrons/treasure boxes/etc. in Free Move
-Updated movement to allow player to get closer to doors/walls/etc. in Free Move
-Free Move Option now allows for 360 movement on trackpad
-Fixed corrupted wizard lightning attack
-Added Option button to disable turn rotation buttons on controller
-Fixed puzzle box rotation lock not being properly interactable after a fail
-Fixed a fight in 2-1
-Player can no longer pause during intro cutscene while it's all loading in
-Fixed a highlight issue with Save File 4
-Fixed issue where spell recharging could reset after completion
-Moved a torch in 1-3
-Fixed a bug in moving with your shield up
-Various other minor bug fixes

Patch 1.9 available for Oculus ... ?

Hi, I was looking to fire-up my Oculus Home version of The Mage's Tale to test-out the torch fix, but see that my game hasn't been updated since May 7th, so couldn't possibly be updated with Patch 1.9. My software version reports as ... 1.593.70137 ... and have no idea how this version information translates to the posted patch versions.

I would hope that patches would be released to both supported VR systems, if not simultaneously then at least within a short period of time.

Hi ploog, it's not currently on Oculus for a couple of reasons, but the dev team will be cycling back to get it there down the road. Not sure what the ETA is.

Thanks for the feedback.

(Was hoping to test the torch fix, given I'd reported the bug, in some detail, back in August 2017. A Steam key would be a suitable workaround. :))
