Will Microsoft be hiring some Quality Assurance testers to try and keep WL3 from crashing as much as WL2? I thought blue screens of death were so Microsoft of the 90's until I played what was a great game in WL2 until reaching a certain point. Now it's almost unplayable.

Huh. I crashed so often that I went from upgrading my computer to successively replacing it with newer minitower models. Newer than the computer I started with anyway. It didn't help much. WL2 was still crashy.

I don't recall ever having a crash [PC version]... Perhaps it's edge case hardware?

In Linux I frequently have crashes when I exit random encounters without having saved the game before the random encounter. Which is easy to forget or ignore to do. It's a real pain, and one of those random encounters was a unique one which I haven't been able to encounter again. Then I've had other bugs where combat crashes as a Ranger or enemy gets lost in pathfinding and keeps running in place, forcing me to reload the last save.

It might've crashed for me a couple of times. No blue screens of death though.

Keep going. I have full confidence that you'll get there.

Unique? How so? Was it the Union of the Snake or whatever on the SW of LA map? The infrequently encountered merchants? A nunner gunner fight that went entirely your way?

It was the one where the cannibal leader drops the unique dragon claws that have Open Wounds. And also a journal that tells a bit of his story.
The nunner gunner fight I simply quit when they killed VAX because the designer of that encounter
unfairly started combat
immediately, even before any nuns were within visual range, so I could only hinder either Jamie the Robot
or VAX from charging ahead by shooting
one of them with The Lariat. Designers like that should be
keelhauled.

That guy is probably gonna get keelhauled... in a Pirate MMORPG

Ooh, yet another reason to add, then steal, Colin McComb's boat.

Places to find the Dragon Claws: Hollywood: Random spawn in locked boxes, containers, safes. Griffith Park: Priest Sprayer's shop, in the Samson worshipers territory.
No "open wounds." But the Toxx Claws have a chance of causing "opened up" and come with a page of Stolis's journal. That sounds more like it. Los Angeles: Found in a random encounter (Mannerites on the rooftops) along with Stolls' Journal.
Yeah, that's a rare encounter.

Oh yeah, Opened Up, not Open Wounds (from Diablo 2). Same thing, different game. I wasn't sure about the name of those unique claws, and I know they're not better than regular dragon claws, so I just mentioned them to identify the encounter.

Or you're probably just really really happy about the new digital version of Diablo

I don't think there were any Open Wounds in Diablo 1. So... no. Even were it available for Linux, I have other games to play. Already played enough Diablo 1 back in the day.

Reminds that I should play Diablo 3 and see if it's as bad as people say it is.
