Companion lies on the ground? - bug

Hello!

I am at the very end (I think) where I try to rescue my companions from the illusions they are having. There is the water part where you find your companion Tybir with his boyfriend. (And get the "Love Restored" achievement)

The problem is this: He lies on the ground. First I thought this is a (maybe slightly weird) game design choice but no, he never stands up again. You can click on him and have a talk but that's it. He does not follow you around and when you change the location through a portal, he gets teleported like the other companions but in the new area he still just lies on the ground. I am very sad now because I wanted to have him with me for my final battle.

I tried reloading the save, I changed the location, I tried to reload an older save file but when I enter the location he already is in his sleeping position. I tried restarting the game. Trying to use abilities does not work. Using health items works but has no animation. I think the problem is perhaps that he got knocked down in the last fight with the sorrow and the first castoff? When the fight ended he was still knocked down, so maybe that is somehow causing a problem for the game?

I'm having this issue as well, but with Callistege instead. She died during the battle against the First Castoff, and then on the Oasis Fathom she is laying down there.. chillin'.... forever.

I'm having the same issue.

I'd stopped playing back in early April in hopes that a patch would fix it, but no such luck with 1.10. Has nobody identified a fix?

(Oh, and trying to *use* him in combat - having him move or attack - hangs the game)

In mine I'm trying to get past the Bloom's Heart. Not sure which crisis you're referring to; I've not dropped back to an earlier save (they're way earlier) since the new patch.

Others seem to have encountered this issue in fathoms, which is a bit later than Bloom's Heart and as far as I know is a known issue resolved in the patch (i.e. having the companions knocked down or killed by a knockdown in the preceding combat).

When exactly did Tybir get knocked down in your case?
If he was saved like this then you'd likely have to revert to a save where he is still ok...

Btw as long as you are before the final stages you may try dismissing affected companion and re-summon him with the Bronze Sphere.

He's been knocked down since early April.... far enough back that I'd not want to go back and try to find a save where he's standing, at least. I really have let the game sit since he became an issue (which was a ways back, to be fair - where there's no combat it doesn't matter if he's just lounging; Bloom's Heart combat sucked without him and I can't move forward because "the party is scattered").

Dismissing him would be Just Fine, if I could find an option to do so. I had thought to do just that - but there doesn't seem to be a dialog option to get him to wander off nor do I see a party-edit option anywhere.

Oh - and it's Aligern, not Tybir. Not sure if that makes any real difference.

The Bronze Sphere is what you use to change up party members. It should be in your inventory.

You cannot dismiss companions in certain locations. Bloom's Heart is one of them. If you can get through the heart peacefully, do that. Get through until you get back to Memovira's Courtyard and try there (speak to Aligern and you should be able to pick "I think it's best we part."). If not, try an earlier save - not sure how far before the Heart dismissing is not possible. If you don't have such a save, try killing Aligern in Bloom's Heart crisis (should be possible with aoe cyphers and spells).
