You could host and maintain the modified files on the Nexus, for instance?
~500 MB should be well within the Nexus' size limit, which, according to this sits at a whooping 3 GB (or more) per file.

I imagine the problem lies more with the amount of inXile content than the absolute file size, although I may be wrong.
