Has anyone posted the date on when BTIV for Mac will be out? Just wondering if it will be before Christmas.

It'll be released, they are working on it, but no date have been given yet... so we (Linux for me) have to wait and wait.

There's only so much waiting to be done before you start losing interest. That point may already well have passed me by...

Not any time soon, it appears. The latest Kickstarter Update (dated Dec 21, 2018) from inXile states there is "no definitive timeline" on the Mac/Linux versions.
For those of you patiently waiting for the Mac and Linux versions of Barrows Deep, we unfortunately do not have a definitive timeline, but work is progressing on both versions. The increased delay is down to the post-release updates and feature additions, and developing both those updates and the Mac and Linux versions at the same time would have been slowed down both substantially.

Sounds like they haven't been doing much at all on the Mac/Linux versions, and are finally getting around to them now that the Windows version is updated. Of course, they said the exact same thing back in October.
With Patch 3 being released, we are now focusing on our original goal of enhancing the game by adding many additional features after launch. Legacy Mode, controller support, and grid movement will only be some of them and we will talk more about those items and more in the near future. Friends of Mac and Linux will also be happy to hear that we are working on those versions as well.(emphasis mine)

So, maybe sometime in 2019... or 2020? :(

Edit: Misplaced BBCode

Yep, it happens quite a lot when devs don't aim for simultaneous release. They spend all the time after release fixing things on Windows rather than fulfilling their promises, then point to disappointing sales on Mac and Linux (because it turns out people are not as interested in six/none/twelve month old games as they are at release) and use that to justify doing it again.

Looks like it'll be at least nine months. InXile has officially delayed the Mac & Linux releases until June. Assuming of course that a Microsoft beancounter doesn't mandate shelving the Mac & Linux work in favor of an XBox port.

I've dropped my backer badge. If I'd known the Mac version was going to be released at least 9 months after the Windows version, I'd have waited for the inevitable fire sale at GOG.

Oh well, I'll check back in June to see if they release on Mac...

I share people's frustration with the wait time for Mac users. I decided to revisit the old Dos Versions of the games and I have been having a great time building up a party of nobodies into a team of elite adventurers.

This might be off-topic, but I was always really frustrated with the lack of quality Documentation for the old versions of the game. I decided to create my own set of documentation which I have found really helpful. I would welcome people's thoughts on whether you think this project could get up and running in a commercial sense. I have no idea what type of forum would consider this - I'd like to be able to charge a very nominal fee of perhaps AUD$5-$10 for the lot.

I have created Manuals and Spell Lists for all 3 games as well as a set of Mapping Paper which people may find handy.

Here are a few Links so you can see what I am talking about:
