Does having Beta access also give you access to the Alpha? I did the 70 dollar option.
Alpha access was granted at the "VIP" ($105) level and higher only. Sorry
Drat--I went for a $75 tier--missed it by $30--didn't realize it at the time I backed the game so long ago, I guess...I believe I could have provided a lot of energy to the bug-fixing/catching process as well as some constructive commentary in both the complimentary and constructive criticism departments. Ah, well...such is life!
From the developer's perspective, I would consider alpha-level participation and commentary--time consuming
as such always is--as more of a contribution to your efforts and success than a "benefit" obtainable only by way of ponying up more dough during the backing stage. While beta-level participation might certainly be seen as a tangible benefit some customers might well be willing to pay for, imo, alpha-level testing is far more work than it is much else, I should say...
Anyway, sounds good and I shall buck up and adjust to the harsh reality of being denied participation in the alpha
versions of BT IV...
BTW, speaking of Steam
, I fired it up today and was pleased to note that finally Valve has brought correct DPI scaling to the Steam UI...Hooray!...
Honestly, though, the UI finally looks so much better at my desktop of 2560x1440! Dramatic visual improvement--cleans up the UI a lot. Previously, if you'd invoke application dpi scaling the Steam UI would open a tiny window, etc. Scales nicely in Win10x64, version 1803, build 17127. Finally! Gabe may move with the speed of a glacier--but I'm here to tell you that he does indeed move
, after all!
