I prefer a six PC party. I was just contemplating how you could do with just four and to me that means the classes are multipathed.

Six, with room for two [additional] hirelings.

It would be very nice to be able to start off with a few parties, and grow a few heroes; and eventually even set out with just one arch mage, and a Brother's Kringle spell.

I really don't see the problem with having a running text ribbon either; practically just like the teletype in WL2.

I'd prefer heaps of individual classes with each one having a specific role, I'd rather not see Warriors who can Lockpick or anything like that, just keep it simple like the original games.

Yeah, that's very cool, but the Kringle Bros get boring after a while. That's where SPBI (Baylor's Spell Bind) comes into play.

Indeed, that should be in. Scrollable and switchable between descriptions/dialog/combat log.

Agreed, avoid PoE-like design, like the plague. And WL2-like as well. And don't nerf (arch)mages.
