I think headshots should work like this:

Sniper rifle: + 50 % critical chance, - 20 % to hit and + 2 AP
Machine gun: + 50 % critical chance, - 30 % to hit and + 2 AP
Shotgun: + 50 % critical chance, - 30 % to hit and + 2 AP
Pistol: + 50 % critical chance, - 20 % to hit and + 1 AP
Energy weapon: + 50 % critical chance, - 20 % to hit and + 2 AP
Grenade/Pipe Bomb: Impossible
SMG: + 50 % critical chance, - 30 % to hit and + 2 AP
Blunt weapon: + 50 % critical chance, - 20 % to hit and + 2 AP
Fist: + 50 % critical chance, - 20 % to hit and + 1 AP
Knive: + 50 % critical chance, - 20 % to hit and + 1 AP
Assault rifle: + 50 % critical chance, - 30 % to hit and + 2 AP

I wonder if you can double crit if you are already at 100% crit chance... or if it has some other effect...

Maybe you just do not use it then... whatever...

Seems well enough either way.


Too bad you can not run a jinxed brawler build... ... or can we devs? (hint at traits/interesting luck buff)

This is almost made for snipers, since they have about 40%-50% crit chance with at lvl10, that +2 AP though.......

That would be interesting because Shotguns use the spread, if doing a shotgun headshot meant aiming the gun at head height and being able to get multiple head-shots in one shot - that would make the shotguns more interesting.

I wonder what I always do: Just how absurd a situation can this mechanic create? Scenario one: We'll try and recreate the legendary Scanners exploding head. Sawed off shotgun, level 40+ victim, and level 1 shooter with 1 in shotguns. Victim is immobile, shotgun pressed to base of skull. So, how many rounds will our shooter need?

Scenario two: Russian roulette. Party of four, all 40+. Each has 1 in pistol. Weapon is the Old Navy revolver. So, just how safe is this game? Would putting a round in every chamber result in even one fatality. Serious injury? Minor headache?
