Feel a bit bad about Erritis and Rhyn

I told Rhyn to go through a House of Empty Time's Gate.

And asked Erritis to work off his debt to the ship captain.

The path of Castoff, where Sorrow stalks just behind is no place for a traumatized child and irresponsible mental ward patient.

I feel it was *right* thing to do, in both instances, but still feel a bit bad about it.

You think I'd rather should've left him alone at Cliff's Edge? Maybe, you're right...

I haven't heard of any mental institutions in Sagus (unlike Sigil). He might as well kill himself next time he'll try something drastic. It would be unfortunate, but not unexpected. Not on my watch, though.

Just because I'm compassionate doesn't mean I'm qualified to take care of people. That Blue in my Gold did not appear out of thin air, after all.

Renio is captain, on the other hand. He'll figure it out.

Though, Tybir worries me just as much. Like Erritis, his problem is that he probably believes half of what he says. He is a slick, sly person, who spins a web of lies size of the Sagus Protectorate. I'm not sure, he can trust himself, let alone me.

***

Now, I'm curious whether I'll end up driving off all of my companions by the end of a game. That should be interesting.

.
Is not a bad idea at all. Under my watch, Erritis was able to provoke a permanent death to my last castoff together to his own death too

Talking to Alcen and then city clerk reassured me about Rhyn, though. Couldn't be happier.

Just a couple of hours ago I met Captain Rennio and Erritis again. Laughed out loud. But thanks for chiming in!

I'm in the same boat as OP, sent Rhin home and left Erritis to work off his debt.
I'm not clicking on spoilers, but it sounds like it wasn't the worst choice to do so.

Man, this game really plays with my head. I spend so much time reading everything, and double reading certain conversations, then just leaving the game to think on my own before making a choice.
My wife is just looking at me like WTF is that game?

Sorry for the delay. Yes, Erratis was in my party when I met the granny with the jar of Iron Wind. And, well... If you let him be Erratis, he will open that thing and all your party dies (and the granny probably also dies... but of laugh)

So, yeah. Erratis is dangerous to himself!

Whenever someone tells me that they have Erritis in their party, I remind them to save often.

1. Erritis is safer with the protagonist, than by himself. Also you can help him.

2. About Rhin. If you send her through the House of Empty Time, she's adopted by an old couple who dies in a few years and she ends up on streets until mid-twenties, when she becomes a toy-maker. And the game tells it to you only in the epilogue.

^Number 2 is not accurate. There is another way to get information about the result of sending Rhin through the House of empty time. Talk to the keeper of the house afterwards and ask what happened to Rhin. Then, follow-up on her suggestion.
