Sooo I managed to activate pyramid thingy(involved a lot of speed increasing items and rushing towards it. And restarts. A lot of restarts) before Sorrow killed any of named castoffs, including the one whose name I forgot how to spell who tried to sacrifice herself, but doesn't seem like game reacts to that : D I mean even strategy guide assumes she dies no matter what

I was actually going to suggest they make a couple of Achievements for this... save one more more castoffs or save all castoffs apart from Aadiriis as she is scripted to die (normally).
I managed to save all four (Mr Coward, Mr Dendra O'Hur and both Mr and Mrs We-can't-agree) on my second playthrough of that fight.

Just went through this part, Christ it's so unpredictable and buggy. Utterly disappointed there was no achievement.

Glad I said screw it and put everyone in harm's way except for my character just to make it to the pyramid. Everyone died lol.... Mind you most of that was lag related ... Narrowly escaped. They should have an achievement for that. One step way from being casted off into nothingness

Yeah that really sucks. I didn't even know it was possible. Once I say The Sorrow liquefy a random Castoff I was out. I can't believe you managed to save them all and wasn't rewarded in any way for that effort. The game is broken. I've already shelved it.Atnas wrote:It's pointless, utterly pointless. I managed to save all of the named ones through some tricky planning- fuck, doesn't matter. Brilliant.

Doesn't matter? You actually do meet some of them in the calm later, maybe the options change?
Even if you would never see them again, I think it does matter in your mind if you just let them die or if they live on and you just may have been too busy with other things to meet them again after they landed somewhere in the bloom. Don't you think?

It was one of the key scenes of the game, I was definitely expecting to see them again. Maybe banding together to form a "united castoff front" against the sorrow as a thanks, or some secret way to extract info from corpses like in PST. The question is rather: Why shouldn't they appear again?
