They said the game is being released the week of January 17th.

While I'd be stoked if the beta dropped today, it'll probably be next Thursday or something.

As Orphansmith said, it's the "week of January 17th". In the US, weeks start on Sundays, hence that particular phrasing, apologies if it was confusing to our international audience (me included!)

The announced timing was basically some time this week, but obviously the studio is closed today.

dont worry too much about it. Take all the time you need to fix the issues you want until you release the Beta.

while this can easily be seen as "complaints" people are just eagerly awaiting to finally play this (hopefully/probably) superb piece of software haha

Generally, I carry lots of items around with me because they are "too good to use". That's why I really like the idea with the cyphers. It solves a gameplay problem I had with so many RPGs before. Now, that the solution is out there, I wonder why it was never implemented this way.

Good thing, that many cyphers work a long while, like those weapon uprgades that's up for 28 hours.

Patience is a virtue... and one shouldn't put people in a position where they hate being virtuous.

Hello all, new to the backing scene.

I backed bt4 with the Tormented Bard option, but that doesn't really count as me being a backer for TTON. I didn't get the forum badge to show off for example. Anyway when EA appears, would there be an option to participate in that without paying for the EA separately? Maybe an addon or something?

EDIT: I just realized that this scenario is what was intended all along. I now understand the true meaning of Tormented Bard.

If we already have the Alpha Systems test on Steam will it update to the beta systems or will we be getting a new code?

It'll be its own key.
