resetting directx 11

Post by redhawk2085 » June 18th, 2017, 2:55 pm

I was having trouble with the game crashing on steam/pc, and read on a forum to use "-force-d3d9" to force the game to run in directx 9. I used that load option, but now want to get back to using directx 11, but can't get it to load the default way again. I have deleted -force-d3d9 from the launch options, but it still keeps on loading that way. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, but it is still doing it. I have deleted the game saves. I have disabled steam cloud. Nothing seems to work.

Is there another launch option that I can use to get it back to how it was before (to undo everything that happened with "-force-d3d9")?

If you haven't already, I would check Users/redhawk/AppData ... find the Wasteland 2 folder, look for a configuration file you can delete.
