Steam version macros

Post by PSUHammer » December 22nd, 2013, 5:42 pm

I am having issues with Windows 7 and AutoHotKey and macros with Wasteland 1. Not sure if it is the Steam version or what but I can't get macros to be recognized in game. I know they work as the keystrokes are recognized in Word and notepad.

Anyone have any good Macro programs for Win 7 that work with Wasteland?

Wasteland has built in macros that work just fine. Press CTRL + Function Key to start the recording and then press again to stop. For instance, I usually put about 20-30 presses of the escape key on F1 and my basic combat choices on F5.

If you do need to use an external program (eg to have a macro that keeps running) then make sure you have it hold down keypresses- something like
Send keydown
sleep a bit
send keyup

But for most purposes the built in macros are fine.
