Batch 4: IED (WIP)

Post by bastardrodent » April 26th, 2013, 12:17 pm

IED
Improvised Explosive Dog

People have dogs in the wasteland. They are good friends, good allies, good food. They die sometimes, so why not stuff em full of dynamite, and make them good traps (they come ready with camouflaged trip-wire.)

Notice the bundel of dynamite stuck in there
I have been honing my modeling skills. I made this in Blender, and it is yet to be textured. I am really unfamiliar with UNITY. is there really simple walkthrough that details how to prepare your file for the Wasteland 2 submission?

Watch this on how to submit to Unity:

Then follow Inxile's instructions on the Unity page: "hold for inXile entertainment" in the description.

Awesome idea. :)

1) The first versions legs look better/ more interesting.

2) Make the stomach a bit bigger & the dynamite less obvious- otherwise noone will fall for it.

Excellent job, did you use a reference for the dog?
Its so sad and awesome at the same time. In Iraq they some times used dead animals to hide ieds

It is sad. I find violence in games and movies fun especially when it's over-the-top and ridiculous. It feels kind of weird that the idea I had (based on pun of replacing device with dog) is real somewhere in the world.

Anyhow, thank ya'll for the help and the suggestion- I used them, and learned some stuff. Here's what I got:
