Why was FLAC soundtrack removed from the GOG release of WL2?

Recently GOG release of the Wastenald 2 removed the FLAC soundtrack and replaced it with lossy MP3. Why did it happen? Do you have any reason not to release the FLAC version on GOG?

I asked more or less the same here but got the exact amount of response you got - zero.

And a small correction - they weren't replaced by MP3s, those were there along with the FLACs.
I also have no idea if they were also pulled from other digital stores or just GOG - if the latter, it's double bad.

Looks like inXile wants us to buy the soundtrack again.

In the unexpected case that inXile will bother, there's a discussion going on the GOG forum from this post forward.

Maybe it's due to space issue (I'm floating this idea!) FLAC files are huge, MP3 not so much.

According to sea it was removed because of licensing issues:

And there has been another update. Seems FLAC should be back up on GOG now.
