I get the impression that weapon damage is one of the things the beta will use to help balance.

Yeah I was critical ofthe weapons damage and I was waiting to see if its hosed or if it works...

question will melee give double exp like it did in the original?

Would probably be a good idea to keep it, considering how RPG's always seem to end up making ranged characters overpowered compared to melee.
