I'm elitist, and proud of it.

Other things to improve that come into my mind:

1. What about the water ressource/mechanic - will it have any meaningful/interessting impact? Is it possible to balance it, or is the system/idea in its core "broken"?
2. Will there be more different encounter-maps/shrine-maps on the world map?
3. I dont like the spinning globe which symolizes the world map. Would like to have an option to make it less colorful, animated.. :)

I hate PC gamer elitism as much as anyone else here, if not more, but I am pretty sure it is not half as bad as racism, let alone worse. I mean, we're still talking about videogames here, folks. There's definitely an assertion of superiority based on arbitrary standards, but it leads to a few people on a forum shouting at each other, not, you know, the systemic oppression and marginalization of an ethnic group.

So, y'know...

Is there any ETA on this? Even a vague one? I would like to play the game again, but if the enhancements come, for example, next week, then I have to play it at a later time.

Nothing that we've heard so far. They've ballparked the release date for the console version in late summer 2015, and for the PC version they've stated that there will be an announcement "soon". Presumably the PC version will be updated before the console version is released, and I'd guess that the announcement for the PC version will be made once they've gotten a better idea of when it will be finished and ready for release.

I am certain they will need at least a few months, and if it comes before console versions I would bet late June or sometime in July.

Personally I think they look great, and they can't actually be mistaken for my [precious] rangers so there should be little interference there. :)
How about showing off some perks next, just to give us a general idea?

Also, how do they work mechanically?

I am both intrigued and horrified. Hopefully I'll be able to get over my crippling fear of dolls enough so that I can try out some of those Quirks, but otherwise I might just have to do without. ;P

I'm not into the dolls either. Vault Boy made perfect sense as a mascot for the idealized 50s retro-future - how do creepy serial killer mutilated dolls fit in to the 80s apocalypse movie idiom?

That said, the artist is clearly having fun with them, so ... you go, guy!

Actually I am not a fan of that style. No offence to the artist. I just personally don't like them. Each to his own of course.

My hopes with the unity5 update are that we don't get THAT console version for PC. Seen this with the deus ex: human revolution directors cut.

Sorry for my bad English.

Inexile announced a console version, a few days later they announced the update to unity5.
It could be that the 'updated' version is the same version that will be released for consoles. Which means... playable with a gamepad, optimised for TV screens, gameplay-optimised for the console crowd.
