Legend of Grimrock is an old-school dungeon crawler inspired by Dungeon Master, Eye of Beholder and Lands of Lore, developed by ex-Remedy/Futuremark employees.

The game is expected to be released on Steam in early April 2012.

It's great to see high-res screenshots, it looks even better than I thought it would from watching the videos before. I'm kinda curious to play this type of game though, the closest I've gotten is probably Wizardry 8, which I loved, but it didn't use a grid based movement system.

The developers are offering 20% off preorders just for today if you buy from them direct. So it's $12 or about £7.50, which is pretty good to my mind.

you can pre order the game, from GOG, direct from the devs (which will be a steam key) and from steam soon

there is a special %20 off for pre orders, I just can't wait for this game, and also pre ordering does give you a few bonuses

If you pre-order now you get 20% off the retail price and early access to following goodies:
- A beautifully crafted game manual
- Legend of Grimrock world map
- Custom made grid paper to print out for all your mapping needs
- Grimrock theme music
- Wallpapers
- Art sheets illustrating foul creatures of Mount Grimrock
- Team photo

I've gone for the GOG version, so nice that its on there too, but this will be a cracking game, so anyone here a fan of old school dungeon crawlers like DM and EOB series, should certainly consider pre ordering this

edit

just a quick update, if you buy the game from the devs themselves, not only will you get a steam key, but also on release a direct download to a standalone installer, no need to get it from GOG, go direct and get the best of both worlds

I'm curious to play this to see how the dungeon design compares to EoB, LoL et al.

Hmm.
A man’s dying is more the survivors’ affair than his own.
