Subnautica

Post by Woolfe » April 16th, 2019, 5:18 am

So I finally finished Subnautica.

It was a brilliant game. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I probably spent more time playing than I needed to.

And I was very sad when I did finally finish.

I would easily give it 10 out of 10 stars. I can't really think of a way that you could have made it better. For the type of game, and the story it was telling. It was simply brilliant.

Really liked Subnautica, finished it twice.
I'm really hope that Subnautica Below Zero will be as good as the first SUbnautica.
But thats still in Early Access so we have to wait.

My friend played on Subnautica, and I want to try it now. How much time you spent in the game?

Subnautica: 83 hours, but i played it 4 times.
3 Times i finished it.
So i would say 25-35 hours for a first playthrough.

Not sure, as I didn't realise I had it on Steam when I got it for free on Epic store....

But it was good solid period of time. I found it enjoyable the whole way through, only really getting frustrated once or twice when silly bugs caused me some grief.

Been playing it now. Friend of mine gifted it to me.

Holy crap is it good. I'm really enjoying it, playing at my own pace and exploring. Currently about 30 hours in, and have quite a ways to go, as I understand it. But, again, I'm not focusing on finishing as much as I am just tooling around.

Oh yeah, I spent a lot of time just messing around building satelite bases, and finding spots with fantastic views....

Even got caught up in the "gotta catch em all" of hatching the eggs to see what was in it as well... Its a very easy game to lose yourself in.

And hunting for wrecks... and exploring cave systems... and not being eaten by Reapers.... Oh and later on seeing how long it takes to kill some beastie with your dinkie little knife.... (A long time if you are trying to kill leviathons)

Personally, I just had fun punching sharks to death with the basic PRAWN arms.
