Hi, I registered not only to thank you for this amazing tool, I simply do not enjoy a game I can't play as I want
and also to say that it is possible to change the ranger gender without causing any problems to the game using your tool and wordpad

I simply changed the male character clothes and equipment to female's stuff and saved it and opened xml with wordpad and edited the gender to from Masculine to Feminine

again, thank you for making the game more fun :)

-------- EDIT--------
wow playing with the save file using EditiX XML Editor I managed to duplicate ranger and have 7 custom made rangers in party

this is a short version of how I did it, opened the xml save file and search my ranger's name, from <PcData> right above the ranger's name I copied all text from <PcData> all the way down to </PcData> "this is all the ranger's details include inventory, stats and everything" and finally paste it at the bottom of the text you just copied right after the </PcData> and that's all, my ranger now have 4 sisters

all I have to do now is use your Ranger Editor to customize the sisters :D

for any questions please contact me on mostafakpoda@gmail.com as I might not be checking this post again

Hmm, will the ranger editor get updated to fit the DC? just thinking as the current version does not go well together with the DC.
(also would really appriciate it, can't stand compaions that are dumber then a bag of hammers for example)
Chaos is merely a tool, a tool which I wield very well

Will this editor be updated to work with Director's Cut?

on the frontpage download link the "Wasteland 2: Director's Cut Edition" leads to a webpage saying " Coming Soon!" so hopefully we won't have to wait too long.

Let's hope the DC edition is bundled as a standalone executable instead of requiring an installation of that gaping security hole known as Java.

While I agree with you in principal as a mac user the fact that this is a labor of friendship for the author to support a great game and those of us that like to get under the hood and play what if games with our toons... and that he has made it a tool for all 3 of the OS that this game supports.

given those major constraints the fact that it requires Java is not very surprising and its one that I hold my nose and cross my fingers and accept. :)

So, any word as to when the new editor will be ready?

Hoping for it here, too, so that I can change the outfits for the NPC's. Kind of shocked that something as simple as that didn't make it into the DC.

Same here, and I will give them a quirk.

I created custom squad in DC with no any quirk. All drawbacks so bad...that overlap each benefit...really need think about build a lot time more, maybe...

That's what I like. Since I already beat the game last year, I'm not looking for the "perfect" squad but more fun and roleplay, and I think the quirks give that.

I expect BlakeStone can't update the editor until Inxile fixes it so we can actually save our rangers, as is, there are no rangers to edit.
(There are save files though)

Well, there's always using an xml editor and doing it yourself. I find that my favorite, XML Notepad, will not open the new save files. I get an error message. Notepad++ works okay, though.

Today I went ahead and gave Ralphie and Takayuki better outfits (torsos) and made Ralphie normal size. I was gonna give Vulture's Cry a new torso, too, to reflect her wearing some armor, but she looks so sweet I decided to leave her untouched!
;)

It took me some time, but I figured out how to add backpacks to NPC's, too. All appears to be stable.

How many quirks and perks can a ranger have? If it's 4 per level, I need to make screen real estate for 12 perks. How many quirks?

1 quirk per character. I'll check on the other stuff.
