Commodore 64

Also...sector-edited the play floppies to change the names and stats of the hireable NPCs to better suit my play style. (IE: Melee vs. ranged vs. techie, etc.) :geek:

Also, Toaster Repair was an OP skill. It needs a nerf in WL2.

8088 with 512k memory, no hard drive, CGA color, sound cards weren't invented yet, and both my computer and i thought a mouse was a useless peripheral.

almost *didn't* buy WL because The Bard's Tale frustrated the daylights outta me (times change, love it now that i've beaten it).

Apple II GS. It's all I ever played it on for the first couple years.

Then I remember one of my friends bought the IBM version of Wasteland, and I was like, "WOW! Look how awesome those graphics are!"

A Windows 7 Laptop around the time of 2010 I was 12. I actually left it for a while then came back to it late 2011 when I was 13, and finished it.

Throw in Legacy of the Ancients and Legend of Blacksilver and that would sum up my C64 days! Played it on my C64 and then replayed on my 286 when I got my VGA card. I think I still have my C64 disks.. I need to fire them back up.

C64. When I went to a 286 was disappointed that that version didn't have the C64 opening. Oh well.

My C64, because my PC at the time still had a monochrome monitor. That C64 had a lot of hard use :D

A friend's C64. I don't remember having the manual to refer to but I sure spent a good amount of time playing. Great game.

I remember it was an Apple 2 but I don't remember any specifics I was around eight and every time I wanted to play my older brother would help set everything up for me. He also helped me with the paragraphs and the hard parts that would have made any eight year old stop playing. He never forbade me from playing videogames on his computer.

IBM XT 286 with 640 KB RAM and CGA graphics (16 colours mode). I do prefer the C64 version, though.

First played it on our new IBM PS/2 Model 30-286. That was a tough system - lasted over 15 years of not-always-gentle use before the HD finally gave up.

Is the Commodore 64 version any good? I'm looking at a few screenshots and the blue/black/white/dark green color palette of the C64, even though technically not as good as EGA graphics, look more gritty and appropriate, also apparently it has better sound. I might emulate that version for a replay.

Also, anyone remember the part with Finister's brain? Like my favorite part, really imaginative

Well... "better sound" isn't really saying much. I mean, it was just bleeps and boops regardless. That being said, the C64 version is fantastic. Honestly, it's the Apple version that should be avoided. The colors were a mess.

I still prefer the C64 version over the PC, it's just a little more fiddly to emulate. It also had the restart option that could only be achieved with 3rd part software on the PC version.

Anyone know if the Apple version had the same intro the C64 version had? It was left out on the PC Version.
The biggest failure in the recent past is this assumption that the audience is not smart.Too much effort is being spent making it dummy proof..all the clues are being held right in front of their nose. The exploration and journey is the reward

C64, or rather C128 in C64 mode.

Still have the album-style package.

I know, right?

Complaining about load times?
Are you using a C-64?
Yes: I feel your pain.
No: You think you know load times? You don't know shit.
