Post by Rascal » March 14th, 2012, 2:01 pm

If You are one of that guy who never played Wasteland1... maybe You started Your journey from Fallout 1 or 2... Maybe Your that guy who even tried to play it for the first time - nowdays (and failed couse game mechanics/graphics/interface appeard to be to harsh for You nowdays).

I have great solution for all of You!

The most beautiful narrated walkthrough with Fallout ambient music and sounds putted on background.
Im truely under veery big impression of the work of this guy.
Never seen such thing before on youtube.
Its like reading a book or hearing a tale sitting beside the chimney :>

I hope You enjoy (I did!):

Post your Let's Plays

Post by Brother None » March 15th, 2012, 1:02 pm

A Let's Play is a great way to learn about Wasteland for those who can't get it to run or just can't quite get past the interface and look of the game. Or if you played it but it's been a while (like me) refresh your memory.

Cool stuff. I really feel like playing Wasteland now. The exploration looks super fun.

Yep, this let's play is great.
The exploration looks super fun because it was top down. You simply can't beat top down games in that aspect.

Well, more the high abstraction level of the graphics, I would say. And the fact that you can attempt skill/item use everywhere. It feels like there's a lot to find, and you never know to expect around the corner.

Search the rock wall and you find a cave. In any photorealistic FPS, the cave would simply be clearly visible and impossible to miss. And skill use locations would be highlighted or something.

This is fantastic! He's done a great job & I'm really enjoying this. Only up to part 5 so far, watching a couple of bits a day.

Not a LP exactly, but Matt Barton's latest is all about Wasteland.

EDIT and BUMP: here's a new let's play on Twitch.tv from Pro7otypeGeek.

Finally bored of the WL2 beta so I decided to get the back story from the original. That game is hard. After watching about 10 min of video though it is coming together, thanks for the link.

That walkthrough is pretty hilarious and entertaining. It was one of the first ones I came across while searching for videos about the original Wasteland.

I found another complete walkthrough by Papa Zito on Youtube that is definitely worth a look... it definitely gave me some gaming tips, very useful if you are looking for tips or spoilers!
